Accomodation

Start: Hotels abound in Richmond. Simply search in proximity to the starting postcode TW9 1TP.

Finish: There are NO sleeping facilities at the finish line. Queen's College will not allow camping on the sports field or sleeping in the pavilion so if you do not have a crew to transport you, you are strongly advised to book local accomodation in Oxford. Within walking distance (just a few hundred yards) of the finish line, are the following hotels and b&bs. The Falcon and Newton House look out over the finishing grounds. The Spires is a more comfortable hotel which can be accessed via a 500 metre walk back down the Thames Path.

Oxford Spires Four Pillars HotelNewton House B&BThe Falcon B&BLakeside Guest HouseWhite View Guest House.

With the finish on the edge of Oxford City Centre there are lots of hotels within easy reach. Some more central options are the Royal Oxford HotelCentral BackpackersOxford Malmaison, the YHA Oxford and the Westgate Hotel.

Air

Start: For runners coming from further afield, the nearest airport is London Heathrow. The race start is 10 miles from the airport or a thirty minute drive. London is also served by Gatwick which is approximately 40 miles from the race start or just under an hours drive. London Stansted and London Luton are much further afield.

Finish: The finish in Oxford is 50 miles from Heathrow or a one hour drive.

Rail

The nearest rail station to the start is Richmond Station which is a half a mile or a ten minute walk from Richmond Town Hall where Registration will take place. Richmond is also served by tube and is on the district line, with the underground and rail stations coming in to the same point.

The finish location is Queen's College Recreation Ground (OX1 4PP)  which is 1.2 miles from Oxford station by foot.

Road

The race start and location of race parking is at Richmond Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, London, TW9 1TP. The race starts on the river itself, adjacent to the Town Hall on the new Richmond Waterfront. If arriving by car, the best place to park is at Richmond Station in the NCP, The Quadrant, Kew Road, TWP 1DN. The alternative is to park on Richmond Green in the metered spaces of which there are many just a short walk from the start area.

The finish location is Queen's College Recreation Ground (OX1 4PP) just a few hundred yards from the city centre. To access the Queens College Sports Ground, you must take the signed turning off of the Abingdon Road leading to and from Oxford town centre and the ring road. You enter the sports ground via a single lane tarmac drive that meanders left and then banks sharply right. Follow this road all the way to the end to the parking by the field & the finish line. Parking at the finish line is limited so please only bring one car per runner down to the ground and for collection only. If you want to spectate for a period of time please park in Hinksey Park Car Park or on the surroundind residential streets in the non resident bays. Hinksey Park location is here just a few mins from the finish. There is plenty of parking nearby to leave other cars otherwise other runner support won't be able to get in to see their runners finish. Just to re-iterate ONE CAR PER RUNNER at the finish line please.

Transport

There is no official transport from the finish back to Richmond either before or after the race, due to public transport options being abundant and frequent.

From Oxford Station back to Richmond Station after the race the rail journey is also around 2 hours.

There is NO arrangement for sleeping at the finish line so please book a hotel or local b&b as above if you do not have anyone to collect you. Do not attempt to drive home immediately after the race, the exceptional level of fatigue commonly experienced at completion of a 100 mile trail run has led to driving related fatalities in the past.
